Our area is typically very quiet. You may hear echoes from other cabins in the ridge. The cabin is on one acre filled with trees. There is one cabin across the street from us and a few others down on our road, but the setup of our cabin makes it feel extremely private once you are inside.

Bring your own password for all other apps. •Pool table •Catwalk leading to upper deck with hot tub •Another upper deck off of sleeping area •Four yoga mats •Closet with 2 single cots that guests can set up for children/small adults; we've found that the cots are a lot more comfortable than a sofa bed or air mattress ★★ THE PROPERTY ★★ •Property is on 1 acre so there will not be other cabins right next to or in front of you (for example: a big cabin development), but there is one cabin across the street. There are also other cabins sprinkled along our road. •Paved roads all the way •Outdoor BBQ grill (we do not provide charcoal) ★★ CABIN AMENITIES ★★ •A startup supply of regular coffee, decaf coffee, and hot chocolate pods is provided •A startup supply of tea, sugar, and creamer is provided •Travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion is provided •Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags and dishwasher pods are provided •All quality linens and towels are provided ★★ SOCIALS ★★ •Follow us @modernmountainnests for more photos, a video tour, and additional videos!
Other Details to Note
MOUNTAIN VIEW •There is no mountain view, but the secluded feeling of being in the tree tops makes up for it! ROADS •The roads are somewhat narrow and a few parts are steep/on an incline. They can also be dark at night. However, if you want to stay in the mountains you will have to navigate this with almost any property you book. Trust us, you will be a pro after you have driven the roads once! We encourage a four-wheel drive vehicle in the winter months due to the chance of snow. If it does snow, please be aware that the roads can freeze and the county isn't the best at clearing or salting the side roads. It's the South so it happens infrequently and they wait for it to melt. MASTER BEDROOM •The log king bed is very large & takes up most of the space in the master bedroom. The blackout curtains make it a perfect sleeping den though! WIFI •We have fiber internet now! Woo hoo! CELL SERVICE •Cell phone signal can be a bit spotty at times but typically works okay. It just may be a bit slow for browsing on your phone or video chatting if you're not using WIFI. LOFT •The loft sleeping and pool table area has no door. It is an open space. The bathroom up there does have a door though.
